When you see these pieces in person, they have a beautiful earthiness to them. When making them Pauline thinks of trees and imagines them sitting in a forest. May this calming thought translate when you see them in your home!

Built by hand using a slab technique, stoneware clay and various glazes, fired 1280 in oxidation.

Coming from a childhood where art was considered to be only about drawing, Pauline needed a tactile way to use her hands to express emotions and create, clay was that chosen medium.
Pauline completed a Diploma of Ceramics in 2007, and in the past 6 years, has committed to extending her practice at School of Clay and Art (SOCA) in Melbourne. She was a finalist in the Clunes Ceramic Award in 2022, and was awarded a judges recognition award.
Pauline works from her Melbourne Studio which she shares with her husband who is a painter.
