We just love it when clever people find ways to recycle off-cuts from the manufacturing industry. Glen Patrick is one of those clever people creating small homewares from wood that is a by-product of the furniture industry. How great are these lamps, and each unique!
30cm tall x 13cm diameter of bulb.
Please note that due to the nature of the recycled wood used, there may be variations in the grains. You might not receive the version photographed here.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Glen Patrick began his woodworking career making guitars. He has since transitioned to furniture making with some of Melbourne’s most well-known furniture brands.
Seeing the waste produced within the woodworking industry, Glen has been determined to try and find a way to use the smaller, off-cut pieces of timber that can’t be made into anything else. Taking inspiration from ceramicists and other smaller designed objects, he embarked on a project to make homewares using the off-cuts from his daily woodworking practice. Each piece is unique due to the recycled nature of his materials and that is what we think makes them each so special.
