About the Maker:

Working from her studio on the beautiful Tahunanui Hills in Nelson, New Zealand, Leigh Thompson is an intuitive creative working with clay and fibre, creating functional and sculptural products. Leigh's inspiration comes from natural elements such as flowing water, rock formations, flora, fauna and human nature. She also lives in an incredible mid-century home, which no doubt plays a part in inspiring her designs.

Leigh uses hand-coiling methods to build her work and in many pieces, she integrates fibre into the finishings.
